Join us for a 45-minute HeritageQuest Online (HQO) Census and Freedman's Bank records content webinar! Combining digital, searchable images of the U.S Federal Census records, UMI Genealogy & Local Family Histories books collections in addition to so much more, HeritageQuest Online (HQO) is an essential collection of unique material for both genealogical and historical researchers. With coverage dating back to the late 1700s, researchers can find their ancestors, trace their paths across America, and learn what life was like in the areas where they settled. Join an online session with one of our trainers to get an introduction to the two collections, the search options for each or refresh your awareness with a brief update. This course covers the content of the collections and the tools and features within each that are critical to successful research. We will also try to answer any questions and show you how to access support, including tutorials, help pages, and documentation. The session is scheduled for 45 minutes to cover:
- Searching and Browsing the U.S. Census and Freedman's Bank collections
- Examples of using information found in one collection to investigate the other collection
- Viewing, printing, downloading, and saving page images
- Notebook tool
- Online resources for learning more about HeritageQuest Online
