United States Government Publications are received by nine South Dakota libraries as selective depositories in the Federal Depository Library Program. Included among these libraries is the South Dakota State Library, which has been a part of the Federal Depository Library Program since 1973. Currently, the State Library receives about 36% of the documents published annually by the Government Printing Office (GPO).
