RACE: Everything School Libraries Need to Know about ILL
Tuesday, August 21; 4:00-5:00 CT; 3:00-4:00 MT
Presented by Mary G. Johnson and Joan Upell
(repeat of May 1 webinar)
Interlibrary loan will continue to change as digital options and budgets change. Beginning with school year 2012-2013, school libraries are asked to keep more detailed statistics for interlibrary loan. The State Library needs more exact data to determine ILL patterns and trends. For this reason, starting with the 2013 School Library Survey, we will be collecting more detailed information. This webinar covers ILL basics, what data you need to collect and how to collect it once school begins in the fall of 2012.

Mark your calendars for Indian Ed Summit Library Pre-Conference
Hosted by the State Library Development Services, this second annual Library Pre-Conference is in conjunction with the South Dakota Indian Education Summit. Located at Cedar Shores Resort in Chamberlain, the pre-conference event takes place on Sunday, Sept. 23, from noon to 5:30 pm.
The pre-conference is for librarians, library aides and administrators. We'll begin with lunch and continue with four hours packed with training on our free statewide databases, grants, school library standards, award-winning books and additional State Library services. This is a great time to ask questions and get information. We encourage you to join us for the pre-conference, which is just a $10 registration fee, and opt to stay for the entire summit which runs through Sept. 25.
