Power search with ProQuest

Whether it's time to do serious research or just browse magazines, ProQuest is the tool for you. ProQuest has broadened its coverage to include selected reports, books, conference papers and proceedings, wire feeds, blogs and web-only publications. It also holds over 3,500 periodical titles with full text articles from international, general, trade and scholarly magazines and newspapers. From Good Housekeeping to the Journal of Molecular Evolution, ProQuest has you covered.

Do a power search with the new limiters on the Basic Search page. Choose "Documents" and include results that are articles and exclude results that are reviews. Choose a particular periodical type, title or author, and move the publication date tab to select desired dates.

Try the new Tag feature, which allows you to easily share articles with others. This is especially effective for classes and groups who are working together.

Students will appreciate the new citation feature that includes over 20 of the most popular citation styles to select, copy and paste.

Free direct access is available from the State Library website within South Dakota libraries and schools [library.sd.gov - Online Resources Library & School Campus Access], and 24/7 access is available to citizens from home with a barcode and password [library.sd.gov - Online Resources Library Card Access].
